About

Charles “Pruner” West was the first African-American quarterback to play in the Rose Bowl.

In 1921 a Pennsylvania school of just 400 students, Washington and Jefferson College, known as W&J, played an unforgettable football season against some of the best college football teams in the nation. Charles West played quarterback for the team during some of the most critical games that season, and ultimately helped them to an appearance as the most significant underdog in Rose Bowl history.

Motion Picture Diplomacy is a film production company focused on producing narrative film and television of social and historical importance.
